College Basketball: The Murray State Racers are on the road for the final time in the regular season as they visit the Missouri State Bears this evening. Murray State’s Katelyn Young earned her fourth Missouri Valley Confernce Player of the Week award Monday. The junior had 30 or more points in each of last week’s games along with double digit rebounds. The Racers return home to host Drake Thursday night at 6, with pre game at 5:30 on WNBS.
HS Basketball: 4th District action last night saw Murray High’s boys defeat Christian Fellowship 83-52 and Murray’s Lady Tigers saw their season end with a 49-43 loss to host Marshall County.
Calloway County’s teams are in action this evening at Marshall County with the Lady Lakers meeting Christian Fellowship at 6 followed by the Lakers meeting host Marshall County. Coverage of both games begins at 5:45 on 104.5 WBZB.
College Baseball: After going 1-2 at North Florida over the weekend, Murray State plays its home opener this afternoon against UT Martin. First pitch at Reagan Field is set for 3 pm.
MLB: The St. Louis Cardinals are in the midst of workouts and will begin Grapefruit League games this weekend. The Redbirds will open against the Washington Nationals Saturday with pre game at 11:55 am on WNBS and will meet the Miami Marlins Sunday with air time at noon also on WNBS.
