College Basketball:   Action last night in the Missouri Valley saw  Bradley defeat Indiana State 78-67, Northern Iowa edged Illinois State 65-63 and Missouri State eased by Drake 65-62.

 

Louisville is now riding an eight-game losing streak after losing to Pitt 75-54 last night.  The Cardinals are 2-and-17 and head to Boston College next week.

 

Murray State’s women wrap up preparations today for a Friday night date with Southern Illinois at the CFSB Center.  Tip off is at 6 with pre game coverage at 5:30 on Froggy 103.7.

Murray State women’s basketball standout Katelyn Young has been named for the second straight season to the HerHoopStats.com Becky Hammons Mid Major Player of the Year Mid-Season Watch list.  Young is one of the most dominant players in the nation, averaging 21.1 points per game and 7.6 rebounds.   She is currently 13th in the nation in points per game, 27th in field goal percentage and 25th in the nation in free throw percentage.   She is one of nine players from the 25 player Preseason Watch List to make the 15 player Mid-Season Watch list.

NBA:  The Memphis Grizzlies winning streak rolls on following a 115-114 win over the Cleveland Cavailers.  Ja Morant had 24 points as the Grizzlies won their 11th straight game.  They are in action tomorrow night at the Los Angeles Lakers.
