College Basketball:  Murray State fell in Missouri Valley Conference action last night at Northern Iowa 75-68.  Rob Perry had 17 of his 22 points in the second half.  Jamari Smith pitched in 16 points with JaCobi Wood adding 13.  The Racers are 9-8 overall and 4-3 in the Valley as they host UIC Saturday afternoon at 3, with pregame coverage at 2:30 on Froggy 103.7

 Elsewhere in the Valley:  Belmont downed Valparaiso 74-59 and Drake eased by UIC 76-71 in overtime.

Southeastern Conference:  Kentucky fell at home to South Carolina 71-68 and fifth ranked Tennessee defeated Vanderbilt 77-68.

 Tonight’s games:   Missouri Valley Conference action has Indiana State hosting Southern Illinois, Missouri State travels to illinois State and Bradley entertaining Evansville.

 Louisville seeks its third win of the season as they visit Clemson in ACC action.

 Murray State’s women return to Missouri Valley Conference action tonight taking on Belmont, who also joined the Racers in the Valley this season.  Murray State is coming off losses to Drake and Northern Iowa on the road.  Tip off is at 6 in the CFSB Center with pre game at 5:30 on WNBS.

 HS Basketball:   Murray High’s boys drubbed Christian Fellowship 101-61 in quarterfinal play in the 1st Region All A Classic last night.  Murray will face St. Mary in semifinal action Friday night at 6 in Mayfield with pre game at 5:30 on WNBS.

Calloway County’s Lady Lakers lost at Madisonville 64-38.  The Lady Lakers are back in action Friday night hosting Caldwell County at 6, with pre game at 5:45 on 104.5 WBZB.

 College Football:   The University of Kentucky announced Tuesday Liam Coen is returning to Lexington for a second stint as Wildcats offensive coordinator.  Coen left following the 2021 season to become the NFL’s Los Angeles Rams offensive coordinator. He signed a  three year contract.
