HS Basketball:  Calloway County and Murray High’s teams are in action this evening.  Murray High’s boys will entertain University Heights Academy at 7:30 with pre game at 7 on WNBS.

Calloway County’s boys and girls are both in action this evening.  The Lady Lakers host McCracken County at 6, with pre game at 5:45 on WBZB.  The Lakers are also in action this evening at Graves County with tipoff at 7:30.

College Basketball:  Murray State basketball players swept this week’s Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week honors.

Rob Perry was the Valley’s men’s Player of the Week after scoring 30 points in the Racers overtime win at Valparaiso Sunday. The Orlando, FL native scored 20  in the win against Illinois State also in OT in Murray State’s opening conference game.

Katelyn Young was the Women’s Player of the Week after a 31 point-12 rebound performance in last week’s win over UT Martin and had 12 points and 10 rebounds against Southern Indiana Saturday, her second consecutive double-double.

Missouri Valley Conference action this evening has Belmont hosting Trevecca, Valaparaiso welcomes Trinity(IL), Bradley travels to SIUE and Northern Iowa hosts Toledo.

Women’s games in the Valley find Belmont visiting Lipscomb, Illinois State hosts Missouri-St. Louis, Northern Iowa welcomes North Dakota State and  Drake travels to South Dakota.

College Football:   The University of Louisville is losing its head coach.  Multiple reports say Scott Satterfield is leaving after four seasons to go to the University of Cincinnati.  Satterfield was 25-24 during his tenure with the Cardinals.  Deion Branch was named interim coach of the Cardinals while Satterfield will lead the Bearcats when the teams meet in the Fenway Bowl December 17th at Boston’s Fenway Park.
