College Basketball:  For the second straight game, Murray State went to overtime and won its Missouri Valley Conference road opener 77-70 at Valparaiso.  Rob Perry had a game high 30 points to lead three Racers in double digits.  Jamari Smith added 18 and JaCobi Wood pitched in 10 as Murray State improved to 5-3 overall and 2-0 in the Valley.  The Racers are back in action Saturday afternoon at Bellarmine.

The Hey Coach show with Racer coach Steve Prohm will tape at noon today at the Big Apple Bar and Grill and air at 6 this evening on Froggy 103.7.

Elsewhere on Sunday:  19th ranked Kentucky defeated Michigan 73-69 in the Basketball Hall of Fame Showcase game in London.  Louisville remained winless in losing its ACC opener 80-53 at Miami and 13th ranked Tennessee 94-40.

College Football:  Kentucky, Tennessee, Louisville and Western Kentucky all learned which bowl games they will play in Sunday.  Louisville will face Cincinnati in the Fenway Bowl at Boston’s Fenway Park on December 17th, WKU will face South Alabama in the New Orleans Bowl on December 21st, Tennessee will meet Clemson in the Orange Bowl December 30th and Kentucky will face Iowa in the post season for the second straight year in the Music City Bowl December 31st.

HS Basketball:  Calloway County and Murray High are off tonight, but there will be action tomorrow night.  Murray High’s boys welcome University Heights tomorrow night at 7:30 with pre game at 7 on WNBS. Calloway County’s teams will be in action tomorrow night with the Lady Lakers visiting McCracken County at 6 pm with pregame at 5:45 on WBZB while the Lakers are on the road at Graves County with tip off at 7:30.
