HS Basketball: The 2022-23 season begins this evening with action including Murray High welcoming Hickman County in a boy-girl doubleheader. Pregame coverage for the girls contest begins at 5:30 on WNBS.

Calloway County will begin its season hosting Livingston Central in a boy-girl doubleheader tomorrow night with pregame at 5:45 on WBZB.

College Basketball: Hey Coach with Murray State men’s coach Steve Prohm will be recorded at noon today at the Big Apple Bar and Grill. If you can’t make it by, you can hear the show tonight at 6 on Froggy 103.7.

In case you missed it, the Racers lost 69-66 Saturday night at Chattanooga and welcome Illinois State in the Missouri Valley Conference opener Thursday night at 7 in the CFSB Center with pregame at 6:30 on Froggy 103.7.

Murray State’s women’s basketball team won Saturday at Alabama A&M 57-36. The Racers are back in action Wednesday at UT Martin with tipoff at 6 pm. Pregame airs at 5:30 on WNBS.

NFL: Tennessee Titans running back Derrick Henry was held to a season low 28 yards as the Cincinnati Bengals held off the Titans 20-16 Sunday at Nissan Stadium. Henry did have a career high 79 receiving yards in the loss. Tennessee did not score a touchdown in four trips to the red zone. The Titans are now 7-4 and visit the Philadelphia Eagles next Sunday.

NBA: Ja Morant put on a show at Madison Square Garden last night as the Memphis Grizzlies beat the New York Knicks 127-123. Morant hit a game-winning put-back with under 15 seconds remaining to lead Memphis to the victory. The superstar guard also had a triple-double with 27 points, 10 rebounds, and a career high 14 assists.

The Grizzlies have won three of their last five games to improve to 12-8. Memphis visits Minnesota on Wednesday.
