A Hopkinsville woman who had been reported missing Saturday was found yesterday. WHOP Radio reports a Golden Alert had been issued for 43-year-old Sherry Murphy. The Christian County Emergency Management Office says Murphy was found safe.
Family and friends gathered in Dawson Springs Saturday to unveil a memorial to the 19 people who died in last December’s 10th tornado in Western Kentucky. The granite monument located in the Dawson Springs City Park had each name of the victims on it.
The Trigg County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the discovery of a trailer over the weekend. The trailer is believed to be stolen and had its VIN and data plate removed. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Trigg County Sheriff’s Department.
Fire damaged the Clinton Place Nursing Home Saturday and impacted some of its residents. A Facebook post from Hickman County Emergency Management indicates the cause of the fire has not been determines and residents in the effected area were moved to another part of the facility.
