
A 14-year-old McCracken County student faces charges for allegedly threatening his school. Local police were notified of a threat yesterday the teenager allegedly said he was going to bring a gun to school. Students were interviewed straight away and several of them helped officials identify the suspect who they say they overheard making the threat on the phone. The boy was arrested at his home and faces a charge of terroristic threatening.
Traffic on Interstate 24 near the 29 mile marker in Marshall County was reduced to a standstill following a Monday morning accident involving a dump truck. The Kentucky Transportation Cabinet says the truck blew a hydraulic line and sprayed hydraulic fluid along the roadway.
The Graves County Sheriff’s Department is investigating a weekend heist at the Graves County Road Department. West Kentucky Star.com reports the suspect reportedly damaged and took items from the property. The investigation is continuing.
Fire Monday morning destroyed a downtown Evansville warehouse and left other buildings in the proximity in ruins. The fire began about 4:40 am and a spokesman with the Evansville Fire Department indicated no injuries were reported and an investigation is underway in what caused the blaze.
Kentucky needs more blond donations. That’s according to the Kentucky Blood Center who say an increase in usage at hospitals across the state means the already-limited blood supply is getting worryingly low.
