The Calloway County Sheriff’s Department arrested three people Friday following a report of shots fired at a Dexter home.  When investigators arrived at the residence, they found 33-year-old Bradley Cathey of Murray in a parked car in the driveway.  A search of the vehicle allegedly turned up methamphetamine.

 Investigators then searched the home and found more meth and a shotgun.  The two people in the home 40-year-old Apollo Tolmie and 46-year-old Kana Royalty-both of Dexter-were taken into custody.  All three face drug related charges with Tolmie also charged with a handgun by a convicted felon.

 One person is dead and a Florida man is in custody following a shooting Saturday in Paducah.  West Kentucky Star.com reports 55-year-old Robert Pannell was a guest at the Best Western Hotel on John Puryear Drive

 Paducah Police arrived on the scene shortly after several 911 calls.  Authorities say Pannell reportedly assaulted a couple in the parking lot after they refused to give him a lighter.  He then went into the hotel, went down a hallway and shot a female victim, who later died.  The name of the victim is not being released at her family’s request.  Pannell is in the McCracken County jail on multiple charges including first degree murder.

 A bill banning TikTok from state issued devices is heading from the Kentucky Senate to the House for approval.  The ban would prohibit the use and downloads of TikTok on state government networks and state-issued electronics like tablets and cell phones.  The bill would also allow the state Office of Technology to install controls to block access to the social media site.
