College Basketball:  The Murray State Racers gave a gallant effort, but fell at Soutnern Illinois last night 68-64.  Brian Moore, Jr. led the Racers in scoring with 19 points with Rob Perry recording his first double-double with 16 points and 10 rebounds.  Jamari Smith added 15 in the losing effort.  Murray State is now 11-10 overall and 6-5 in the Missouri Valley.  Missouri State comes to the CFSB Center for a 1 pm game Saturday, with pre game at 12:25 on Froggy 103.7.

A reminder the Hey Coach show with Murray State coaches Steve Prohm and Rechelle Turner will be recorded at noon today at the Big Apple Bar and Grill and air tonight at 6 on Froggy 103.7

Last night in the Missouri ValleyMissouri State edged UIC 63-59 and Drake slid by Indiana State 70-68.

 Tonight’s games:  Northern iowa welcomes Valparaiso, Evansville entertains Belmont and Bradley hosts Illinois State.

Last night in the SEC:  Kentucky downed Vanderbilt 69-53.

Tonight, the fourth ranked Tennessee Vols meet Georgia.  Also this evening in the ACC, Louisville visits Boston College.

HS Basketball:   Livingston Central edged Murray High in girls action 35-30.  The Lady Tigers will return to action Saturday afternoon hosting Fort Campbell at 1 pm in Taylor Gym.

Graves County defeated Calloway County 45-34 in the girls game with the Lakers edging the Eagles 52-47 in boys action. The Laker boys return to action Friday night at Christian County.  Pre game from Lyle Dunbar Gym is at 7:15 on 104.5 WBZB.

Murray High’s boys head to Richmond today as they face Evangel Christian in the opening round of the All A Classic tomorrow morning at 7:30 with pre game coverage from Eastern Kentucky University at 7:15 on WNBS.
