College Basketball: The Murray State Racers are back in action this evening as they are in Carbondale, IL to face the Southern Illinois Salukis. The Racers are coming off a win over Indiana State Saturday while the Salukis have won their last four contests including a win over Missouri State on Saturday. The teams met at the CFSB Center on December 29th with SIU getting a 63-57 victory. Tip off is just after 7 with pre game at 6:25 on Froggy 103.7.
Other action in the Missouri Valley this evening has UIC visiting Missouri State and Drake welcomes Indiana State.
In the Southeastern Conference this evening, Kentucky travels to Vanderbilt.
HS Basketball: Mayfield drubbed Murray High’s Lady Tigers 39-18 last night. The Lady Tigers play for the second time in as many nights this evening as they visit Livingston Central. Pre game coverage begins at 7 on WNBS.
Calloway County’s girls and boys welcome Graves County to the Jeffrey Gym tonight. Coverage of both games begins at 5:45 on 104.5 WNBS.
College Baseball: Murray State announced its 2023 schedule Monday. The Racers begin the season February 17th in the first of a three game series at North Floida. The first home game will be February 21st against UT Martin. Murray State will open Missouri Valley Conference play hoating Bradley in a three game series at Reagan Field March 24-26.
Baseball America released its preseason Top 25 poll Monday.Six Southeastern Conference schools are in the top 10 with LSU number one, Tennessee second, Florida third, Vanderbilt sixth, Texas A&M seventh and Ole Miss is 10th. Louisville is ranked fifth in the poll.
NBA: The Memphis Grizzlies lost their third straight game 133-100 at the Sacramento Kings. Ja Morant did not play due to an ankle injury. Memphis plays at Golden State tomorrow night.
