College Basketball: For the first time as members of the Missouri Valley Conference, Murray State and Belmont square off this evening in Nashville. Tip off is at 8 in the Curb Center, with pre game at 7:25 on Froggy 103.7.
When the Racers and Bruins play tonight in Nashville, Murray State will be without Kenny White, Jr. Multiple reports say White was pulled over in Livingston County Sunday night on a traffic stop. Kentucky State Police say White was stopped on I-24 near the Grand Rivers exit. The trooper who pulled over White said he suspected White was under the influence and a probable cause search uncovered marijuana in the vehicle.
White was charged with DUI, marijuana possession and traffic violations. He was lodged in the McCracken County jail. Murray State officials say they are aware of the matter and will have no further comment until the legal process plays out.
Other games in the Valley tonight have UIC visiting Valparaiso and Southern Illinois entertains Evansville.
Southeastern Conference action tonight has Kentucky hosting Georgia, 9th ranked Tennessee visits Mississippi State and Vanderbilt welcomes Alabama.
