College Basketball:   In the first ever meeting in the school’s history.  Murray State’s women downed Bradley 83-48 Sunday afternoon. Katelyn Young had 24 points, Macey Turley added 20 and Hannah McKay had a double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.  Murray State is now 11-4 overall and 4-2 in the Missouri Valley. The Racers return to action Friday night hosting SIU at 6, with pre game at 5:30 on WNBS.

Murray State’s men return to action tomorrow night at Belmont, with pre game at 7:25 on Froggy 103.7.  With today being a travel day for the Racers, the Hey Coach show will be recorded Wednesday at noon at the Big Apple Bar and Grill and be replayed that night at 6 also on Froggy 103.7.

 HS Basketball:   Murray High’s basketball teams played in the final of the 1st Region All A Classic Saturday night.  The Tigers defeated Mayfield 47-31 and will play Evangel Christian on Thursday January 26th at 8:30 am at Eastern Kentucky University.

Meanwhile, the Lady Tigers lost to Carlisle County 44-35 in the Girls 1st Region All A final.

Calloway County’s boys lost in overtime to Lexington Catholic, the third ranked team in the state 56-52 Saturday in the semifinals of the Kentucky 2A State Tournament in Owensboro.

NFL:  The Tennessee Titans are lining up candidates for their open offensive coordinator position.  ESPN reports Tennessee has requested permission from the Kansas City Chiefs to interview Eric Bieniemy for the role.   The team also asked to meet with quarterbacks coach Matt Nagy.  The former Chicago Bears head coach returned to KC this season and also handled assistant coaching duties.  The Titans averaged less than 18 points per game, which was fifth worst in the league.

NBA:  Ja Morant and the Memphis Grizzlies put their nine game win streak on the line this evening against Cam Payne and the Phoenix Suns.  The teams square off at Fed Ex Forum in Memphis.
