College Basketball:  Murray State’s women shot 52 percent from the floor in their final non Missouri Valley Conference tune up last night in downing Bellarmine 74-59.  Hannah McKay led the Racers with 19 points, Missouri Valley Conference Player of the Week Katelyn Young added 17 and Jordyn Hughes pitched in 12 for the 7-2 Racers.  Murray State begins Missouri Valley play hosting Illinois Chicago December 30th at 6 pm in the CFSB Center.

Tonight, the Racer men’s team returns to action playing its final non conference game at long time rival Middle Tennessee.  Tip off is at 6 with pre game at 5:30 on Froggy 103.7.

Last night in the Valley:   Drake upset 17th ranked Mississippi State 58-52 and Northwestern routed UIC 92-54.

Tonight’s Games:  Valpo welcomes Stonehill, Southern Illinois visits Southeast Missouri, Belmont entertains Samford and Evansville hosts Bellarmine.

Women’s games in the Valley:  Southeast Missouri edged UIC 56-55, Florida International downed Bradley 65-57 and Belmont eased by Troy 58-57 in overtime.

Tonight’s Games:  Missouri State welcomes Little Rock, Southern Illinois visits Saint Louis and Indiana State entertains Detroit Mercy.

In other action last night, Louisville lost to Lipscomb 75-67.  Tonight’s games include 19th ranked Kentucky welcoming Florida A&M and 8th ranked Tennessee entertains Austin Peay.

HS Basketball: Murray High’s boys lost to Ballard 81-53 Tuesday at the Rumble on the River at Paducah Tilghman.  The Tigers are now 5-5 and return to action next week at the Smoky Mountain Winter Classic in Gatlinburg, TN.

Calloway County’s boys lost to West Jessamine 87-47 at the Central Bank-Jim Rose Classic at Lexington Christian.  The Lakers are now 7-2 on the season and play Waggner today.

College Football:   The University of Kentucky is getting transfer quarterback Devin Leary from NC State.  Leary will have the chance to replace Will Levis, who recently announced he was placing his name in the NFL Draft.  247 Sports has Leary ranked as one of the top signal callers in the transfer portal.

Leary was named the 2022 ACC Preseason Player of the Year, but saw his season end with a shoulder injury against Florida State on October 8th.
