New figures from a school data service show Kentucky has closed three times as many schools due to illness as the rest of the country.  Infection has forced at least 385 schools in 44 Kentucky districts to cancel in-person classes for a day or more.  Education officials say they cannot explain the high number.  Most of the cancellations this year have been caused by the flu and not COVID-19.  The CDC reports that flu spread in Kentucky has been among the highest in the country.  Ten other states are also at a high state of risk from the flu.
