College Basketball: Three for 11 first quarter shooting proved to be the demise for Murray State’s women Sunday as they fell at Purdue 90-67. Hannah McKay led the Racers with 14 points while Jordyn Hughes added 11 and Alexis Burpo pitched in 10. The Racers return to action Saturday night hosting Chattanooga at 6, with pregame at 5:30 on WNBS.

Elsewhere in the Missouri Valley Sunday; 7th ranked Louisville defeated Belmont 79-70, 4th ranked Iowa eased bu Drake 92-86, South Dakota dumped Bradley 71-53 and Northern Iowa over Saint Louis 84-64.

One game tonight in the Valley has UIC at Chicago State.

Missouri Valley men’s action Sunday saw Southern Illinois fell to Southern Indiana 71-53 and Valparaiso over Central Michigan 81-65.

Tonight’s games: Belmont visits Lipscomb, Drake hosts Wofford, UIC welcomes Jacksonville State and UNI goes to Virginia.

Murray State football coach Dean Hood and men’s basketball coach Steve Prohm will both be on today’s edition of Hey Coach which tapes at noon at the Big Apple Bar and Grill and airs at 6 this evening on Froggy 103.7.

NFL: The Tennessee Titans got back on the winning ways Sunday with a 17-10 victory over the Denver Broncos at Nissan Stadium. It’s a short week for the Titans, who visit the Green Bay Packers Thursday night.
