Recapping some of Tuesday’s election results:  Incumbent Bob Rogers was re-elected as Murray’s mayor,  Nicky Knight won his election for Calloway County sheriff and despite carrying Calloway County, 42nd DIstrict Court judge Jmey Jameson lost in his re-election bid to Andrea Moore.

Some customers of Murray Water System will have service shut off today for temporary repairs. Officials say the outage will affect customers along Kentucky 121 South from the intersection of Old Murray Paris Road to the end of the line. However, the outage will not affect those who live on Old Murray Paris Road. Once the repair work is completed and service is restored, customers in the affected area will be under a boil water advisory.

A Graves County teenager is dead following a house fire early Tuesday morning. West Kentucky Star.com reports the fire occurred around 5:15 am at a home on Mountain Ridge Road and claimed the life of 17-year-old Sierra Walker. Walker was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators say the blaze may have started in the electrical system.

Investigators are seeking the cause of a fire that destroyed a building in Fulton. West Kentucky Star.com reports the blaze occurred Monday afternoon at 107 Washington Street, across from the Fulton Public Library. The library suffered minor damage.

At least one winning Powerball ticket was sold in the Los Angeles area for a jackpot now worth over two-billion dollars. Kentucky Lottery officials say there was one $200,000 winner and three $50,000 tickets sold in the Commonwealth.
