A small earthquake was reported in northwest Tennessee last night. The US Geology Service at the University of Memphis indicates the quake was centered about a mile north of Ridgely and occurred around 6:35. It was recorded at 2.3 magnitude and no damage nor injuries were reported.

A McCracken County man wanted in connection with a robbery there last week was arrested by Murray police Monday. 35-year-old Shannon McClure was wanted in connection with the robbery October 10th at Country Aire Mobile Home Park.

A Kevil man wanted by authorities was arrested by the McCracken County Sheriff’s Department just after midnight Tuesday morning. WPSD reports 29-year-old Dakota Miller was wanted on absconding charges.

At the time of his arrest in a traffic stop on Old Mayfield Road, Miller was found to be in possession of methamphetamine and drug paraphaneila. He was lodged in the McCracken County Regional Jail.

Four people were arrested at a Graves County residence Tuesday, including a man who fled authorities in McCracken County. 27-year-old Cole J. Fields of Boaz led both McCracken and Graves County authorities to a residence on the McCracken-Graves County line where he was found hiding in a basement.

Investigators found illegal drugs and other drug parapnanelia. Three other people were also taken into custody.

The city of Marion in Crittenden County is dealing with some water issues. In a Facebook post, the city reports a major leak in a water main on South Main Street is forcing the shutdown of the water system for an indefinite period. The city emphasized the shut down is due to the leak and not a water supply issue.

A recovery center is now open in Hopkins County to help the region’s tornado victims. Some West Kentuckians are still suffering after a tornado hit the area in December last year. The Hopkins County Long Term Recovery Committee hosted a ribbon-cutting ceremony yesterday for the center which will hold donated goods for distribution to those impacted in the disaster. Officials say there are people already using the facility to pick up appliances and building materials.

Early voting starts today in Tennessee. There are just 20 days left until midterm election day on November 8th meaning registered Tennesseans can already fill in their ballot. Early voting must be done in person at an official polling location. More information about casting an early vote to take part in the democratic process can be found on the Tennessee Secretary of State website
