HS Soccer: Semifinal action at the Boys 1st Region tournament saw McCracken County edge Calloway County 2-1 and Marshall County blanked Paducah Tilghman 2-0. McCracken County will meet Marshall County in the championship game Thursday evening.
Action today includes Marshall County meeting host McCracken Counth in the 1st Region Girls championship in Paducah.
HS Volleyball: Calloway County edged Caldwell County three sets to two and Murray High shut out Trigg County three sets to none.
College Basketball: Kentucky big man OscarTshiebwe had surgery following the team’s Pro Day. Coach John Calipari says the minor knee surgery took 15 minutes to “clean some things up”. Tshiebwe will have about a month to rehab before the Wildcats open the season against Howard University on November 7th.
NBA: Ja Morant had 23 points in the Memphis Grizzlies 109-105 loss at the Orlando Magic last night. The Grizzlies are 2-2 in the preseason and return to action tomorrow night at the Detroit Pistons.
