According to sources, Simmons wants to be traded by the Sixers and has told management he has no plans to wear an NBA uniform again until he’s moved. The team has discussed trades throughout the offseason, but has decided to hold onto Simmons in hopes he would improve his trade value through his performance in the early parts of the season.

A fire at the Caesars Superdome in New Orleans is out. A small stream of smoke could be seen pouring out of the roof earlier. No word yet what started the fire at home of the Saints. The NFL team was expected to return home for the first time in over a month after they were displaced by Hurricane Ida. Workers had been on the roof of the dome, using pressure washers. The dome was recently re-named, and the fire started in an area where an old logo was being removed.

Green Bay Packers running back Aaron Jones says the necklace containing his father’s ashes that was lost at Monday night’s game has been found. Jones lost the keepsake in the end zone after scoring one of his four touchdowns in the Packers 35-17 win over the Detroit Lions. The necklace was found by athletic trainer Brian Engel before he left the facility early yesterday morning.

You’ve heard of sign stealing in baseball, but have you heard of card stealing? After a play at the plate in Monday’s Rays-Blue Jays game, Kevin Kiermaier was tagged out by Toronto catcher Alejandro Kirk, but in the process the Blue Jay’s data card came loose from Kirk and Kiermaier picked it up. Kiermaier then brought it into the Tampa Bay dugout. Kiermaier told reporters he didn’t look at it and Rays manager Kevin Cash said he spoke to Toronto manager Charlie Montoyo about the incident.

The Wild are keeping superstar forward Kirill Kaprizov. The team announced it has signed the hockey sensation to a five-year deal worth 45-million dollars. The two come together on a deal just as training camp is set to begin in Minnesota. There had been speculation and rumors about the forward potentially leaving to go back to Russia if no deal had been agreed upon with the Wild. Kaprizov had a remarkable rookie season as he scored 27 goals and won the Calder Trophy as the league’s top rookie.
