Cards Sweep

Nolan Arenado and Tyler O’Neill both homered as the Cardinals rolled to a series sweep of the Royals with a 7-2 win in Kansas City.  José Rondón drove in a pair for St. Louis and J.A. Happ tossed five and two thirds scoreless innings to earn the victory.  The Cards have won six straight heading into a three-game home series against the Brewers tomorrow night.

Murray Tigers get Covid Win

The Murray tigers football team starts the season out with a win before they even kickoff the season. Crittenden county had to cancel their home opener for this Friday because of a Covid quarantine. The Tigers 1st scheduled game is now against cross town rival Calloway on Friday August 27th.

Cubs with Historic Losing Streak

The Cubs are making history with their current losing streak.  Following yesterday’s 4-1 road loss to the Marlin, the Cubs have had two losing streaks of eleven or more games this season.  That is the first time in club history the Cubs have accomplished that feat.  The two losing streaks have come in less than a two-month span.  The Cubs are also inching closer to setting a record for the longest losing streak in a single season, which is 14 losses in a row in 1997.
